Forgive my excitement...
Ooooooohhhhh I think I am the happiest little chef ever!!!
We've been making pizza for as long as I can remember and I've always loved helping: rolling, shopping, grating, spreading, sprinkling and of course eating. It was exciting each and every time, but I had never made my own-- my dad's the Pizza King.
I decided to try this pizza recipe that my grandma had sent me- it needs a lot more time and work, but it's so worth it.
I was really worried about part of my dough because it was so sticky and gooey, but we left it alone.
My dad helped me with stretching out the first pizza dough (the gooey one) and it came out great!
I stretched out the second and got the perfect size (although there were a couple of holes in the base, but that didn't matter. We put loads of mozzarella and made one pizza with mushrooms, olives, capers and basil; and the other pizza half & half: zucchini, olives, capers and basil on one half and plain cheese and basil on the other half.
It was so thrilling to watch it bake! The cheese bubbled like it was heaving and it ended up yellowy-brown and gorgeously set.
My goodness!! They were just so amazingly delicious! They were a little greasy because of the oil brushed on the crust, but that tasted so good...
I was just so proud! They tasted so pleasing... I ate loads... even later on when I was so full, my sister and I came out and had some late-night pizza (much better to finish it off on the day it's baked and fresh rather than microwaved the next day :P)
I loved it loved it loved it... and so did everyone else!
I made my own pizza!!!
